How to delete your account
Option 1: In the app
- Open Fixby
- Go to Settings (gear icon, top right of home screen)
- Tap Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion
Option 2: By email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to support@fixby.app from the email address associated with your Fixby account. Include "Delete my account" in the subject line. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your account — user ID, email, authentication credentials
- All appliance data — your appliance list and associated manual bundles (if no other users share the same manual)
- On-device data — all local data including chat history, voice transcriptions, the AI model, and cached manuals are removed from your device
What is retained
- Purchase receipts — retained as required by tax and financial regulations. These contain only transaction IDs and amounts, not personal conversation data.
- Shared manual bundles — if another user has the same appliance registered, the processed manual bundle (not your personal data) remains available to them.
Timeline
- In-app deletion: On-device data is deleted immediately. Server-side data is deleted within 7 days.
- Email deletion: Processed within 30 days of identity verification.
Important notes
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. You cannot recover your data after deletion.
- If you have active in-app purchases, deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund. Contact Apple or Google for refund requests.
- You are welcome to create a new account after deletion, but your previous purchases and appliance data will not be restored.
